Education
PartnerFirst has been a pioneer in training and certifying real estate professionals to serve the default market—and then connecting them with homeowners and mortgage servicers through our nationwide agent databases. Our membership consists of over 6,000 agents nationwide, all of whom have access to the most comprehensive pre-foreclosure training available.
Addressing the need
Education is the cornerstone of PartnerFirst’s business model. We believe that one of the reasons for the sluggish recovery in the housing market is the lack of skilled default agents. We're addressing that need with a thorough training program, and with our unique agent networks that are now serving homeowners and mortgage servicers across the country.
A complete training suite
The PartnerFirst education program consists of several training modules, which are conducted online and in live training seminars:
- Pre-foreclosure Specialist Certification (PSC™). The flagship of PartnerFirst’s training platform, PSC offers agents a comprehensive view of the pre-foreclosure market and the special skills and knowledge needed to serve it. This course is DRE-approved in several states, in both the online and live versions. It has received universal recognition within the default services industry.
- HAFA Specialist Certification (HSC™). The federal government’s Home Affordable Foreclosure Alternatives program has become an important part of the short sale lanscape. HSC offers the most thorough training available on this initiative, covering its unique features and ramifications for homeowners and industry professionals.
- FDCPA Training. Most real estate agents don’t consider the requirements of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act in their daily activities—and don’t need to. But that changes when they act at the behest of a mortgage servicer or component servicer. It is vitally important that agents serving the default market be acquainted with this law and know how to comply with it. PartnerFirst provides an overview tailored to real estate professionals.
- REO Certification (REOC). Knowing how to manage REO sales is an important part of the default agent’s arsenal. REOC acquaints agents with the unique requirements of this very specialized niche, from the initial property inspection to closing.
